Dr. Prashant Parikh, Founder and CEO
As Founder and CEO of Noema, Inc., Dr. Prashant Parikh brings over thirty-five years of experience in both academics and business to the company.
He was a Senior Research Scholar at the Institute for Research in Cognitive Science at the University of Pennsylvania from 1999 up to 2012. He is the author of the influential books The Use of Language and Language and Equilibrium and has published numerous papers in journals and conference proceedings. A third book Communication and Content will appear presently.
In business, he is a co-founder of Allied India, one of the leading moving and industrial packing companies in India. Allied India is a joint venture between SIRVA in the US and the Lemuir Group in India.
Dr. Parikh did his SB and SM at MIT and his PhD at Stanford University.
Dr. Nelson Correa, Advisor
Dr. Correa is founder and president of Andinum Technologies, a software technology firm specializing in text analytics and language translation. He brings over 20 years of experience in business, language technology, and startup companies.
Prior to Andinum, he was a post-doctoral researcher and consultant at IBM Research, Yorktown Heights, Vice President of Engineering at two software companies in Syracuse, New York, and Professor and Chairman of the Department of Electrical Engineering at Universidad de los Andes in Bogotà, Colombia.
Dr. Correa holds two U.S. patents and has published over 40 technical articles in natural language processing and speech technology. He has a B.S. in Electronics from Universidad Javeriana in Bogotà, Colombia, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University.
